Clarkson Valley: Brief City Overview

City of Clarkson Valley

The City of Clarkson Valley was named after Col. Charles Clarkson, a Kentucky native who moved to St. Louis County after the War of 1812. The community was incorporated as a village in 1950 and became a city in 1988.

With roughly 3,000 residents, Clarkson Valley provides a rustic atmosphere where one might see deer wander across the road at night. Residents can take advantage of the surrounding area parks for recreational use. Clarkson Valley surrounds the Forest Hills Country Club, a well-known private golf course and clubhouse nestled in an exclusively residential subdivision.

Clarkson Valley is bounded by unincorporated St. Louis County on the west, Ballwin on the east, and Chesterfield to the north. The location is easily accessible to Interstates 40/64, 270, and 44.
