Chamber Committees

  

Many West St. Louis County Chamber members volunteer their valuable time and effort to help our membership prosper and grow, as well as to enhance our business and residential communities, all while networking!

The Chamber invites all members to take part in our committees. We welcome your participation!


Ambassadors & Mentors Committee
The Ambassadors & Mentors Committee members serve as official hosts and goodwill representatives at various Chamber functions, meetings and special events. They officially welcome new businesses that join the Chamber by organizing and attending ribbon-cutting ceremonies, as well as mentor new members.

West County Walk
Benefiting Susan G. Komen. The West County Walk Committee work on finding sponsorships and walkers to support this great cause in a first ever event for the Cure in the West County Area.    

Business After Hours Committee
The job of this committee member will help organize and plan after hours for the Chamber members. These events are free to our Chamber members and can be held at various businessess around the area.

Creating Connections Business Expo @ Lifetime Fitness 
The Business Expo Committee plans, organizes and executes the Chamber's annual community-wide Business Expo. This event is a service the Chamber provides to its members, giving them the opportunity to showcase their products and services to local residents and businesses at a nominal fee.

Golf Classic Committee
The Golf Classic Committee plans, organizes and conducts a golf tournament enjoyed by members and non-members alike. The Golf Classic is designed to be a fun, social event that allows the Chamber to raise money for valuable programs and services, while giving members the opportunity to network.

Trivia Night
The Trivia Night Committee plans, organizes and conducts a fun-filled and competitive night full of trivia with a new theme every year. The Trivia Night is designed to raise money for valuable programs and services, while giving our members a chance to mingle with the community.

Government Affairs & Transportation Committee
The Government Affairs & Transportation Committee monitors local, state and federal issues that may impact the business community and our cities. They develop and take appropriate positions on key issues that affect the Chamber's membership and communities. These include sign codes, special use permits, bride & road improvements, flood levees, and street beautification issues. The committee also promotes transportation solutions to help reduce current traffic congestion and encourage long-term traffic planning.

Installation and Awards Banquet Committee
This Committee will help plan and organize a silent auction, giveaways, decorations, and menue for the Chamber's Annual Banquet in January.

Membership Development Committee
The Membership Development Committee spreads the word about the many opportunities offered by the Chamber while recruiting new members and retaining current members. The committee holds an annual membership blitz where teams compete for prizes and have a lot of fun.

Programs & Seminars Committee
The Programs & Seminars Committee develops informative programs for the General Membership Meeting luncheons that relate to local businesses and the community. Additionally, the committee develops educational seminars for the advancement of our members and the community. The committee is responsible for locating and engaging top-quality speakers, who are experts on the selected topics.
