Valley Park: Brief City Overview
City of Valley Park
Valley Park has been identified as an industrial community from its earliest history, when the Indians began manufacturing arrowheads over 170 years ago. A naturalist visited Valley Park and collected much of the Indian tribes' work and sent the pieces to the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. Many neatly formed arrowheads can still be found along the riverbank of Valley Park.
Valley Park is a growing residential and business community that offers a wide choice of quality homes. The City was incorporated in 1903 and occupies nearly 3 square miles of land that is easily accessible to Interstates 40/64, 44, and 270.
The City of Valley Park has many social events throughout the year such as the Valley Days Festival and car show. The four parks in the City provide residents with ball fields, picnic areas, open space recreation area, and other amenities.
